Director Ryan Coogler shares a common goal with Denzel Washington regarding bringing the esteemed actor into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During an appearance on the Nightcap podcast hosted by Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Coogler confirmed his intention to cast Washington in the upcoming sequel of the “Black Panther” series.
Coogler expressed his eagerness to collaborate with Denzel. He’s hoping to make this collaboration a reality. His plan is definitive – he wants to work with Denzel on the upcoming movie. If Denzel is on board, there’s no doubt it will happen. Denzel is a legendary figure and a valuable mentor for many in our field. He always looks out for us, and I have no doubt that he will continue to do so.
Coogler replied that “Black Panther 3” won’t take too much longer. Sharped had inquired about the timeline for this film.
In November, Washington hinted to Australia’s “Today” show that Ryan Coogler was penning a role for him in “Black Panther 3”. Although Marvel hasn’t officially announced the sequel yet, it’s not unexpected given that the previous Black Panther films grossed over $2 billion worldwide. Coogler is soon to debut his R-rated thriller “Sinners”, featuring Michael B. Jordan, which is slated for release on April 18th.
Regarding Washington’s statement, he shared with EbMaster that he had expressed his apologies to Coogler over the disclosure of details regarding the plans for “Black Panther 3.
I reached out to him, expressing my regret over our discussion about the film. To my surprise, his charming spouse was by his side. Despite this encounter, Ryan remains modest and brimming with creative thoughts. Regardless of what he pens, I’m eager to delve into it.
