Actress Ruby Rose publicly accused Katy Perry of sexual assault, alleging the incident happened over ten years ago. Perry has strongly denied the accusation. Rose has now shared a final statement regarding her report to the police.
Warning: This article contains references to sexual assault which some readers may find distressing.
On April 12th, actress Ruby Rose publicly accused singer Perry of assault in a series of posts on the platform Threads. Rose claims that Perry approached her at a Melbourne nightclub while she was resting on a friend’s lap, then forcibly pulled down her underwear and rubbed her genitals on Rose’s face, causing Rose to vomit.
I was shocked to learn Rose went to the police about other past sexual assaults, but she explained in a now-deleted post that because Perry is so famous, she needed to work with a special department in the police. Now, Perry himself has given what he’s calling a final update on everything that’s been going on.
Ruby Rose has “finalized” all of her police reports after Katy Perry allegations

On April 14th, Rose let her followers know she’d finished filing reports with the police regarding several cases. While she hinted this includes her claims against Perry, authorities have instructed her not to talk about the cases publicly.
She announced that she’s finished with all her reports as of this afternoon. Because of this, she won’t be able to discuss the cases or the people involved in them publicly anymore.
I might seem distant or like I’m not acknowledging your kind words and support, or the experiences others have shared, but that’s not the case. The police have asked me to limit communication, and honestly, it’s a relief. This allows me to begin healing and start moving forward, even if just for a little while. I appreciate all of you so much.
Rose has removed all of her posts and comments accusing Perry of wrongdoing, probably in response to a request from the police.
Katy Perry called Ruby Rose’s claims “dangerous reckless lies”

After Rose made her accusations, a story about Anna Kendrick being groped by Perry reappeared. In response, Perry’s representative released a statement to TopMob denying Rose’s claims and referencing previous accusations made against the actor.
Claims Ruby Rose is making about Katy Perry on social media are completely untrue and harmful. They are reckless lies.
Ms. Rose frequently makes serious accusations against people on social media, but those she accuses consistently deny her claims.
In 2021, Ruby Rose explained she left the CW’s Batwoman because she was required to return to work just 10 days after undergoing back surgery, an injury sustained while filming. However, Warner Bros. stated they chose not to renew her contract for season two due to multiple reports of unprofessional behavior on set.
