The release date for NVIDIA’s RTX Super graphics cards is currently unclear and a bit messy. Recent reports indicate the launch of the RTX 5070 Super, 5070 Ti Super, and 5080 Super may have been pushed back. However, a recent showing by Seasonic (as reported by VideoCardz) suggests an announcement could happen relatively soon.
RTX Super on the power supply manufacturer’s website
Originally, rumors pointed to the release of RTX Super graphics cards in 2025, aiming for the holiday shopping season. However, current predictions suggest a launch in early January 2026, coinciding with the CES trade show. These estimates are largely based on information from Seasonic’s power supply calculator.

Seasonic, a company that makes power supplies, has a tool to help you figure out how much power you need. They’ve now added the RTX 5070 Super and 5070 Ti Super to their configuration options, hinting that NVIDIA will likely announce these new graphics cards soon. This probably means the original RTX 5070 Ti will be discontinued.
A power supply calculator from Seasonic seems to back up rumors about the RTX 5080 Super, which isn’t currently listed. According to a leak from the Moore’s Law is Dead channel, the most powerful card in the Super series will be released at a later, unspecified date. When this information first surfaced, the 5070 Super and 5070 Ti Super were expected to launch near the end of 2025, but these dates are still unconfirmed.
More reports suggest that new graphics cards are being manufactured and are likely already in production. A major criticism of the RTX 50 series was the limited amount of VRAM, particularly in the 8 GB models. The upcoming Super series is expected to fix this, so if you’re thinking of upgrading your graphics card, it might be wise to wait and see what they offer.
