As a seasoned cinephile who’s navigated through the labyrinth of Hollywood for decades, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing the news about “Thumblite.” This corporate thriller set in Silicon Valley, with the enigmatic Rosamund Pike at the helm, seems like a promising addition to the small screen.
Netflix has commissioned a corporate thriller series, starring Rosamund Pike, that takes place within the tech hub of Silicon Valley and will be available for streaming immediately upon its completion.
The show known as “Thumblite” is being developed by writer Scott Z. Burns. Scott Galloway and Michael Ellenberg of Media Res will serve as executive producers.
The show explores the intricate web of plans, conflicts, ambitions, and fixations among influential figures and their subordinates, all competing to seize dominance within the world’s most potent sector.
As a passionate movie critic, I’m thrilled to share that I’m involved with the production of “Thumblite.” I am privileged to wear multiple hats in this project, including its creator, writer, and showrunner. The talented Zoe Saldana will not only grace our screens as a star but also contribute significantly as an executive producer.
Currently, Pike graces the screens in Amazon’s high fantasy series “The Wheel of Time.” Some of her latest projects include the movies “Saltburn,” “I Care A Lot,” and the TV show “State of the Union.” She is often recognized for her performances in films such as “Gone Girl,” “A Private War,” and “Die Another Day.
In the realm of Hollywood representation, I’m fortunate to be associated with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in the US, United Agents in the UK, Magnolia Entertainment, and Prosper PR. These powerhouses are my partners in ensuring a successful and impactful career in the world of cinema.
Previously, Al Gore, known for his Oscar-winning documentary on climate change titled “An Inconvenient Truth” released in 2006, also executive produced its sequel, “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power,” in 2017. Throughout his career, he has been involved with several films addressing significant global issues such as “The Report”, “The Informant!”, “Contagion”, “Side Effects”, and “The Laundromat”. His latest project is the creation of an anthology series about climate change titled “Extrapolations” for Apple TV+, which was produced by Media Res.
He is repped by UTA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Galloway is well-known for his roles as an entrepreneur, presenter, podcast host, and university professor. His opinions about business, technology, and finance are highly valued, making him a popular figure in these fields. At the moment, he is serving as a marketing professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Currently, Media Res’ lineup features hit series like “The Morning Show” on Apple TV+ and “Pachinko.” They have also recently released “Scenes from a Marriage” on HBO and “I’m a Virgo” on Amazon’s streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video.
Puck first reported that “Thumblite” was going to Netflix.
