Starting this Friday, Rocket League is set to receive its own Star Wars-themed update, including a special mode called Car Wars available in the shop, along with numerous Star Wars-themed items. As usual, there will also be some free content that can be earned simply by playing the game. This two-week event, themed around Star Wars, kicks off on May 2 and continues until May 16.
In the temporary game mode called Car Wars, instead of the usual objective, you’ll aim for a challenging goal: a thermal exhaust port, similar to the one Luke Skywalker destroyed on the Death Star with a torpedo. To assist you in this mission, the Spike Rush modifier will temporarily attach the ball to your vehicle as you maneuver it towards its destination.
As an enthusiastic supporter, I’m thrilled to share that Rocket League is reintroducing the electrifying Star Wars mode, G-Force Frenzy, from last year! This time around, it’s a 3v3 game where we get to enjoy unlimited boost, but hold onto your seats because this supercharged boost packs quite a punch compared to the regular one!
The upcoming event offers numerous tasks to accomplish for diverse cosmetic rewards, many of which can also be utilized in Fortnite. This includes the Empire wheels, Force Lightning boost and trail, and an Octane stormtrooper decal. Additionally, you’ll find several free car accessories such as a Stormtrooper helmet and a TIE Fighter topper.
For this upcoming event, Epic Shop won’t introduce any fresh vehicles, but instead they’ll offer a variety of current cars as bundles adorned with new Star Wars designs. The highlight is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which will receive Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Captain Phasma-themed decals. These designs are included in the standard price of 2800 credits, and for those who already own the car, these decals come at no extra cost.
Additionally, you’ll find the Dominus GT bundle, worth 800 credits, featuring a General Grievous decal. This can be applied to Fortnite as well. Similarly, there’s an Fennec bundle with a Darth Vader decal, also priced at 800 credits. Lastly, get ready for an unstable red lightsaber boost costing 400 credits, Death Star wheels for 700, and a Death Star goal explosion for 2000 credits.
Or in shorter form:
A new Dominus GT bundle (800 credits) with General Grievous decal is coming. The Fennec bundle (also 800 credits) includes a Darth Vader decal. Additionally, expect an unstable red lightsaber boost (400 credits), Death Star wheels (700), and a Death Star goal explosion (2000).
