Nacon has revealed that the solo addition titled “Unfinished Business” for the video game RoboCop: Rogue City is set to release on July 17, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. To build excitement, they’ve unveiled a fresh trailer showcasing snippets of new gameplay, formidable adversaries that the RoboCop character will face, and what seems to be a specter from his former life as a being with fragile flesh and bone.
Initially unveiled at the Nacon 2025 presentation earlier this year, Unfinished Business centers around a hostile mercenary group seizing control of the advanced OmniTower. Their objective is to acquire the power core within this structure, and when they manage to secure stolen components from the Metro West precinct, they’ll gain the ability to commandeer any OCP technology, including RoboCop.
Of course, being an ardent admirer of Detroit’s finest, I can only imagine our city’s top cop wouldn’t sit idle as this unfolds. Instead, he’d be on the move, racing towards the OmniTower to thwart these sinister schemes.
In his mission, RoboCop faces a challenging task: not only does he encounter heavily armed mercenaries patrolling the building, but he’ll also need to navigate soldiers using jetpacks, avoid traps, and overcome other obstacles on his journey to reach the upper levels. The game offers an engaging twist: it provides flashback levels where you can play as Murphy before he became RoboCop, allowing players to uncover the shared past between him and the enigmatic figure who awaits at the summit.
In the TopMob review of RoboCop: Rogue City, critic Richard Wakeling described it as an action game that will appeal to fans of RoboCop. For enthusiasts of RoboCop, there are many delightful elements in Rogue City. The design of the game cleverly recreates the atmosphere and aesthetic of the first two RoboCop films, with remarkable precision, and even features Peter Weller reprising his iconic role as the title character.
