Robert Pattinson is involved in Josh Safdie’s latest film, Marty Supreme, but he’s not actually appearing in front of the camera. He’s taking on a role behind the scenes.
Okay, so I’ve noticed Robert Pattinson and Timothée Chalamet are working together a lot lately! I first saw them both in “The King” back in 2019 – Timothée played King Henry V, and Pattinson was this French Duke, Louis of Guyenne. They had great chemistry, so it’s cool to see them teaming up again.
Timothée Chalamet and Robert Pattinson will reunite on screen in December 2026 for Dune: Part Three. Chalamet will reprise his role as Paul Atreidis, while Pattinson returns as Scytale, a villain who schemes against Paul.
Sharp listeners may have already noticed Robert Pattinson appears in Timothée Chalamet’s new movie, Marty Supreme, providing a voiceover at the beginning.
Robert Pattinson plays commentator in Marty Supreme

Josh Safdie, the director of Marty Supreme, previously worked with Robert Pattinson on the 2017 crime film Good Time. While discussing his new movie at a recent event in London, Safdie mentioned he’d given Pattinson a small part in the upcoming table tennis drama.
According to director Josh Safdie, the voice of the commentator and umpire in the film is actually actor Robert Pattinson – a hidden detail most viewers haven’t noticed. He described it as a fun Easter egg for attentive fans.
Okay, so there’s this amazing scene early on in Marty Supreme. It’s when Timothée Chalamet, as the table tennis whiz Marty Mauser, is facing off against Géza Röhrig, who plays the Hungarian champion, Bela Kletzki. It’s during the semi-finals at the British Open, and it’s just… intense!
Safdie explained that the voice appearance happened because the actor was visiting the set. Safdie realized he didn’t know any British actors, so he asked him to play the umpire.
Okay, so I just heard that Marty Supreme is out in theaters, and Timothée Chalamet absolutely crushed it – he just won a Golden Globe for playing Marty! Everyone’s saying he’s now the top pick to win the Best Actor Oscar. If you want to see who else won at the Golden Globes, you can check out the full list here.
