Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are teaming up for a major collaboration this year, and they’ve already begun work on the first of three planned projects.
Fans can look forward to seeing Robert Pattinson and Zendaya together on screen multiple times soon. They’ll both appear in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film based on Homer’s The Odyssey, and then again in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three, which adapts Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah. This will be their third project together this year, following their previous successful collaboration.
The A24 film The Drama was a hit in theaters last month, and now it’s available to buy or rent online. You can find it on Amazon and other digital stores for $23.49 to purchase or $18.49 to rent.
In the film The Drama, Robert Pattinson and Zendaya play Emma and Charlie, a couple preparing to get married. Just one week before their wedding, a surprising secret comes to light and puts their relationship to the test. Kristoffer Borgli wrote and directed this romantic comedy, and the movie also features Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, Hailey Gates, Zoë Winters, Hannah Gross, and Sydney Lemmon in supporting roles.
The new A24 film has been very well-received by critics. Screen Rant gave it a 9/10 score, calling it a thrilling and expertly crafted story. It’s also “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, with both critics and general audiences giving it a 78% approval rating.
The movie The Drama earned $117 million worldwide in theaters, with a production budget of $28 million. This makes it a very successful film for A24, and it’s the fifth A24 movie to reach $100 million in earnings. Other A24 films that have crossed this milestone include Marty Supreme ($181 million), Everything Everywhere All at Once ($148 million), Civil War ($127 million), and Materialists ($108 million).
The film is now available to watch at home. It’s also expected to stream on HBO Max, which has been the primary streaming platform for A24 films for several years. However, as of today, neither A24 nor HBO has announced when it will be available to stream.
The movie has sparked a lot of online conversation, with heated debates about who the true villain is and whether certain actions by Zendaya’s character were justified. With the film now available to rent or buy online, and soon on streaming services, these discussions are likely to continue.
Mark your calendars! The Odyssey hits theaters July 17th, starring Robert Pattinson as one of Penelope’s suitors (played by Anne Hathaway) and Zendaya as the goddess Athena. Then, on December 18th, look for Dune: Part Three, with Zendaya returning as Chani and Pattinson playing Scytale, a character who wants to overthrow Paul Atreides (played by Timothée Chalamet).
