Earth – a project that took years and a precise request to come to fruition.
This story is worth sharing and TopMob managed to secure it early thanks to interviews for Noah Hawley’s upcoming series. Scheduled to air in August, David W. Zucker from Scott Free – the creative team behind the project – also discussed the development process. During a recent viewing, Zucker revealed his reaction when he saw one of the vehicles from Alien: Earth, expressing surprise and saying:

Initially, upon laying eyes on it, Ridley exclaimed, “Amazing! That’s a ship I recognize, and that’s a world I’ve been to.” Even without prior familiarity with the movies, you can still appreciate the artistry showcased in this work.
For those newcomers yet to watch every episode on Hulu, it’s incredibly simple to follow this story that takes place around the time of the 1979 film “Alien”. Additionally, like the Nostromo we are familiar with, the USCSS Maginot in this series shares a similar design, thanks to Noah Hawley’s decision to disregard the aesthetic of “Prometheus”. This should be reassuring for viewers who prefer sticking to a straightforward narrative when navigating through space amidst an erratic spaceship.

What makes this story intriguing is that when the creator of Fargo was initially asked to propose his vision for Alien: Earth in 2018, avoiding the first Scott-era installments was a challenge. Interestingly, this aspect appears to have been overcome, leading to the marketing presentation we’ve seen, where the Maginot crash-lands on our third planet from the sun and offers some unexpected twists.
It’s been a long time coming, but Earth is about to encounter an authentic Xenomorph, hopefully resolving fans’ ongoing debate over the title “Alien: Earth“. What new terrors are hidden within those enigmatic crates? The team on the ship that sets this story in motion likely had no idea, and as we embark on a fresh yet familiar journey, uncovering the truth could prove to be an exhilarating kind of danger.
Just as I found Ridley Scott’s enthusiastic, explicit approval of Alien: Romulus intriguing, this wholehearted endorsement might be a promising sign for the upcoming eight-episode series. If you’re eagerly anticipating Alien: Earth, make sure to have some water handy. We won’t witness the beginning of this new nightmare until August 12th at 8 PM ET on FX, with each episode also being available on Hulu following its premiere.
