The ongoing tale of the speculated Persona 4 remake persists: As per recent updates, the remake is expected to be formally revealed during the Xbox Showcase happening over the weekend.
According to MP1st and later confirmed by Windows Central, developer Atlus is expected to unveil a remake of Persona 4 during Microsoft’s major Summer Game Fest event, Xbox Games Showcase. If the reports are accurate, the remake will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC; however, there’s no definitive information whether it will also appear on Switch 2.
It seems we might not have all the specifics until the showcase, but it’s reasonable to expect this new version of Persona 4 to follow in the footsteps of last year’s Persona 3 Reload remake. By enhancing the graphics and streamlining gameplay mechanics, Persona 3 Reload breathed new life into the original game and proved to be a financial triumph. Given Atlus’ past success with Persona 3 Reload, it’s likely they aim to repeat that success with this upcoming Persona 4 remake.
For quite some time now, there’s been talk about this particular project. Lately, it’s made headlines for unusual circumstances: Although Atlus hasn’t made an official statement yet, several voice actors from Persona 4 have expressed on social media platforms that they haven’t received any contact from Atlus. This news may be disheartening to long-term fans of the series, but it’s important to note that Atlus has replaced voice actors in the past when remaking their games.
