Reka - Multiplayer and Coop Explained

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I have to admit that the prospect of exploring the enigmatic world of Baba Jaga in Reka has me absolutely thrilled! However, upon learning that it’s not a multiplayer game, a pang of disappointment did cross my heart. You see, I’ve grown accustomed to sharing these magical adventures with friends, their camaraderie adding an extra layer of excitement to the journey.

Have you come across tales about Baba Yaga, a enigmatic sorceress often regarded as wicked and powerful? Reka intends to narrate her story from the perspective of a young apprentice. The game based on this legend has just entered early access today. Brace yourself for an intriguing world filled with magic and spirits. Many players are eager to share this experience with companions. Does the game incorporate multiplayer functionality? Can friends embark on adventures together in cooperative mode? Let us find out.

Reka – Multiplayer and Coop Explained

Certain games are designed for playing with friends, while others are more solitary in nature. It appears that the creators of Reka opted for the latter option. On their official Discord channel, it’s stated:

Is REKA multiplayer?

REKA will not support multiple players. This magical game provides an immersive, atmospheric adventure with house-building and exploration features. We believe the theme works optimally for a single-player experience.

It appears that you can’t currently play Reka with friends, but if there’s enough interest from the community, the developers might reconsider. One of the creators mentioned in a Steam post that although cooperative play isn’t in the plans yet, they do take community feedback into account. So, while it’s not likely to happen right away, there could be a possibility down the line.

Regarding other options, will Reka be playable on gaming consoles? It’s not entirely obvious at the moment. For more details, please refer to our dedicated article for clarification.
