Red Hook celebrates Darkest Dungeon 2 with a loaded physical Anniversary Edition for PS5 and Switch

Two years ago, Darkest Dungeon 2 officially dropped, and to celebrate this milestone, Red Hook has crafted an Anniversary Edition exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. What sets it apart? A full set of three DLCs, a stunning steelbook case, but most importantly, a deck of cards that’ll make your gaming heart skip a beat! The pop-up diorama is cool, and the papercraft horses are a thoughtful addition (they come with every physical copy), but let me tell you, nothing compares to that beautifully designed card deck.

Darkest Dungeon 2 Anniversary Edition announced for PS5 & Switch

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the physical Anniversary Edition of “Darkest Dungeon II” will debut for both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are currently available. Priced at $99.99, this bundle offers much more than just the standard game. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Steelbook
  2. Redemption codes for all three DLCs (The Binding Blade, The Inhuman Bondage, and The Infernal Supporter Pack) – ESRB regions only
  3. Pop-up combat diorama
  4. Stagecoach papercraft
  5. Soundtrack codes
  6. Deck of cards
  7. Collector’s box

There’s an important point to keep in mind, though: This particular edition is exclusive to Amazon for both PlayStation 5 and Switch. Additionally, the DLC codes are only valid within the United States and Canada, which means that if you reside outside of these regions, you won’t be able to redeem the DLCs even though you can play the base game without any issues (as there is no region lock for it). The reason behind this region restriction remains unclear. Fingers crossed that they address this issue in the future.

As a thrilled fan, I’m excitedly sharing that this month, I’ll be diving into “Secrets of the Coven,” the latest Kingdoms module for “Darkest Dungeon 2” on consoles! Sony’s PlayStation will lead the way on May 7, with Xbox and Nintendo Switch joining in later during the same month.
