Reckless Ben’s Bricks & Minifigs investigation Part 3 could be back on the table after new court filing

After previous owners requested a court in Utah to modify or cancel the order preventing its release, the third part of Reckless Ben’s investigation into Bricks & Minifigs may finally be able to move forward.

Benjamin Schneider, a YouTuber, is reporting on a growing conflict between Bricks & Minifigs, the Mansell family, and people who used to run a Bricks & Minifigs store in Salem, Oregon.

Things took a turn for the worse in late May when BAM Franchising Inc., along with other companies, sued Schneider, Reckless Ben LLC, Bryan Mansell, and Victor Nguyen. Court documents indicate that a temporary restraining order was then issued as part of the case.

On June 9th, Reckless Ben posted a video called “My final message” explaining that while he’d completed Part 3 of his series about Bricks & Minifigs, he wouldn’t be able to share it.

Ben explained he couldn’t share the information because he faced jail time. He also stood to lose a $300,000 lawsuit and any money raised on GoFundMe for Brian would be sent to a company he’s forbidden from discussing.

Normally, I’d just post the video and deal with whatever legal trouble came my way, but this lawsuit isn’t just about me. It’s also hitting my friends, and it’s messing with the money we’ve been raising for Brian Mansell and his family, so I’m really hesitant.

Former Bricks & Minifigs owners challenge court order

Chrystal Law, Benjamin Gorman, and BAMF Salem 1, LLC have requested to participate in the case specifically to dispute how broad the current temporary restraining order is.

Okay, so I was digging into this whole Reckless Ben situation, and it turns out Law-Gorman isn’t actually being sued in that case. They told the court they’re having their own legal battle with BAM Franchising – apparently, it’s about them losing their Bricks & Minifigs store franchise in Salem, Oregon. It’s a totally separate issue from what Reckless Ben is dealing with.

However, the opposing side claims the temporary restraining order still affects their case because it requires removing any publications connected to the legal issue between Bryan and Chrystal Law. The documents clarify that “Chrystal” refers to Chrystal Law, who requested the order.

In another request to the court, they asked the judge to change or cancel the temporary restraining order, claiming it could impact individuals not involved in the Reckless Ben lawsuit. They also stated the order is overly broad and might limit their right to discuss the disagreement.

The request asks the court to either remove or limit the part of the order that requires content takedowns. It also asks the court to confirm that the order doesn’t apply to Law, Gorman, or BAMF Salem 1, and to avoid issuing a temporary injunction with the same broad requirements.

This is important for Reckless Ben, who claims the current legal order is keeping Part 3 from being released. If the judge limits or cancels the order, it could clear a major hurdle and allow the video to finally be published.

The court hasn’t made a decision on the recent submissions yet. The current request doesn’t specifically ask the judge to authorize ‘Reckless Ben’s Part 3.’ Instead, it allows the original owners of the show to potentially dispute the reason Ben claims is preventing the next episode from being released on YouTube.
