Ready or Not 2 Books a Vampire Slayer and Citizen Detective

In the virtual gathering, the slayer group has made their appearance. Joining the upcoming sequel to “Ready or Not” are Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood. Fortunately, they both possess prior hunting experience; Gellar as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, of course, and Wood as detective/internet sleuth Walter from “Yellowjackets”. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are back for “Ready or Not: Here I Come” since it seems like Samara Weaving’s character, Grace, can never get a break. At this moment, we don’t have any details about the sequel’s plot, so we can only speculate on the hardships that Grace will face. However, what we do know is that writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy are returning to pen the script – one can only imagine the torment they could inflict upon us that surpasses being hunted for sport. Perhaps, the challenge will come from planning a funeral for over ten individuals.

Who else is entering the game?

Look who’s here! Kathryn Newton (“Big Little Lies”), Shawn Hatosy (“The Pitt”), Néstor Carbonell (“The Dark Knight”), Kevin Durand (“Abigail”), and director David Cronenberg (in an acting role) are set to join Gellar, Wood, and Weaving for this ominous gathering. It might as well be a family reunion gone wrong, but at least we have a doctor among us to tend to the chaos.

What was the first film about again?

Initially, Grace (Weaver) was preparing to wed Alex (Mark O’Brien). However, an unexpected encounter took place when she met his distant relatives who adhered to a peculiar family belief: whenever a fresh member ties the knot with them, they draw a card, and if it reads ‘hide and seek’, that individual becomes the target for the rest of the family. Unfortunately, Grace drew the hide-and-seek card, triggering a life-threatening situation as everyone seemed determined to eliminate her, convinced that if she survived the night, their lives would be forfeit instead. To their astonishment, the curse turned out to be authentic.

When is Ready or Not: Here I Come in theaters?
