In the upcoming season of Jack Reacher, he’ll be squaring off against some of his toughest adversaries yet, streaming now on Prime Video. Here’s a sneak peek at the antagonists you’ll encounter in Season 3.

In Season 1 of Reacher, the ex-military man encountered a group of counterfeiters, whereas in Season 2, he tackled suspicious defense industry professionals.

As a dedicated gamer diving into Season 3, I’ve noticed that it draws heavily from Lee Child’s 2003 novel, “Persuader.” However, the creators have introduced an intriguing twist in their adaptation, subtly altering the fate of a cherished character.

In the third season of Reacher, Jack encounters three particularly hazardous felons who pose a threat to him. [Minor spoilers ahead.]

Zachary Beck

Zachary Beck is an affluent entrepreneur, born into wealth, who specializes in the trade of high-end carpets. He deals with the import and export of exquisite rugs.

However, the massive security escort accompanying Beck and the frequent kidnappings of his son hint at something far more criminal than ordinary affairs. This becomes apparent when Reacher assumes an undercover role within Zach’s organization, which is intertwined with a foe from Jack’s past (as you’ll find detailed further down this page).

Anthony Michael Hall, known for his roles in ’80s John Hughes films, now portrays Beck. In more recent times, he’s delved into grittier characters, such as in the television version of Stephen King’s “The Dead Zone.

Paulie

Paulie serves as Zachary Beck’s protector, towering over most people at a staggering 7 feet, 2 inches tall. This gives him a significant height advantage over Jack Reacher, who stands only an inch shorter at 6 feet and 1 inch.

In Episode 2 of Season 3, we gain some insights into this formidable character’s history. It is revealed that Paulie was kicked out of the army after he viciously attacked an officer by punching his eye out and breaking another man’s finger. This makes him a truly menacing figure, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting his upcoming showdown with Reacher.

As a passionate fan, I’d like to highlight that the role of Paulie is brought to life by Oliver Richters, a seasoned actor with an impressive resume. Prior to his acting career, he was a bodybuilder who graced films such as Black Widow, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and Borderlands.

Xavier Quinn

At the onset of Reacher Season 3, there’s a lot of enigma surrounding Francis Xavier Quinn. However, the manner in which Jack reacts upon seeing him – with a blend of astonishment, dread, and fury – indicates that he is an extremely malevolent individual.

In Episode 1, I found myself astonished when a man I once served with, a former Lieutenant Colonel in our army, exposed Quinn as a traitor who had betrayed our nation by selling military secrets to our adversaries. To my disbelief, he labeled Quinn as the most reprehensible individual I have ever encountered.

Apart from being associated with Zachary Beck and Paulie, it appears that Quinn’s relationship with them will inevitably lead to a confrontation with Reacher. This seems to be the primary source of tension in this season.

Brian Tee, known for his roles as the antagonist in “Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,” portrays Quinn. This suggests he has some experience in portraying screen villains.
