Ray traced mod NFS Underground RTX Remix now even prettier

Previously, Nvidia introduced tools enabling modders to develop unofficial upgrades of vintage video games. One of the earliest initiatives leveraging these tools is the Need for Speed: Underground RTX Remastered. This modification has just been updated to version 0.4.1.

The standout feature of Nvidia’s tools lies in their capability to incorporate ray tracing into older games, such as in this mod for ‘Need for Speed: Underground’. This technology has been utilized extensively to rejuvenate a substantial part of the game’s lighting, and an additional 1,000 lights have been strategically placed across maps to intensify the effect. Yet, these enhancements are only the beginning, as further modifications have also been made to the game.
