Ravenswatch - Is There Local Co-Op?

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the lack of local co-op in Ravenswatch is a bit of a letdown for me and many others who enjoy the camaraderie of split-screen gaming sessions.

Yesterday, Passtech Games, creators of Curse of the Dead Gods, unveiled their latest game titled Ravenswatch. Currently, a staggering 5,000 players are simultaneously enjoying this game (as per SteamDB). If you’re intrigued by this title, know that it offers an engaging single-player mode or the option for multiplayer fun with friends as well! In this guide, we delve deeper into the cooperative play aspect.

Local Co-op in Ravenswatch Explained

In simple terms, “Ravenswatch” is an action-adventure game that takes place in a fantasy realm named Reverie. You’ll traverse randomly generated areas, accomplish missions, and fight off groups of adversaries as you play. It’s great for playing with friends! Fortunately, yes, this game supports cooperative play over the internet. The maximum number of players who can join a single session is four.

Unfortunately, the multiplayer couch co-op feature isn’t going to be included in the game as it’s complex for the developers from Passtech Games to implement.

Unfortunately, Lanfey Lockwood mentioned that the split-screen or cooperative play feature won’t be included in the game due to its complexity requiring early consideration during development.

To enjoy a game of Ravenswatch with your companions, each one of you requires an individual computer system and the game’s copy. Unfortunately, playing in split-screen mode isn’t an option here; everyone needs to have their own setup.
