Rappers Get 20 Years for Drugs in YouTube Videos!

A number of hip-hop artists have received sentences of 20 years imprisonment, following convictions based on their YouTube music videos, which contained depictions of illicit substances in the backdrop.

As a dedicated fan, I’m disheartened to share that the “Traffic” member from Bag Tawk Entertainment on YouTube has been given a sentence of 25 years and 10 months in federal prison. This is due to his conviction for conspiring to distribute over half a kilogram of meth and other illegal substances, as well as possessing more than 50 grams of meth and cocaine.

The group, as stated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, was functioning as a network for distributing illegal drugs.

Additionally, it’s reported that three other individuals from the same group are facing similar charges of possession. Specifically, “Gut” and “Skeet” were given a sentence of 20 years in federal prison each, while “T-Dub” was sentenced to serve 19 years and seven months behind bars.

YouTube videos used as evidence in drug case

For around three years, Bag Tawk Entertainment has been dedicated to creating music and released eleven unique music videos showcasing diverse group members from 2020 to 2022.

The most recent video they posted on July 18, 2022 reportedly showcased footage of drug production and contained song lyrics referring to the creation and sale of illegal substances within the videos, as per the Attorney’s Office.

Following the discovery of these videos online, law enforcement agencies carried out searches at homes associated with Bag Tawk Entertainment, suspected of drug distribution.

Or, in a more conversational tone:

After hearing about these videos on the internet, police raided the homes linked to Bag Tawk Entertainment, which was thought to be involved in drug trafficking.

Currently, as I’m typing this, none of BTE’s social media platforms have made any comments about the recent arrests nor posted fresh content during the past couple of weeks.

2025 has seen several YouTube personalities, including “Traffic,” being taken into custody and charged with possession offenses so far. On February 13th, YouTuber SpokenReasons was detained by the Chicago Police Department and held in custody for almost a day due to the alleged misconduct.
