Bella Thorne, Rebecca De Mornay, Frank Whaley, and Ryan Phillippe will appear in the mystery-thriller “Saint Clare,” which has been acquired by Quiver Distribution for distribution across North America.
The movie takes place in a tiny community, and the central character, Thorne, experiences malevolent voices compelling her into a murderous rampage.
Thorne’s accomplishments span films like “The Trainer” and “The DUFF.” De Mornay is recognized for her roles in “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle” and “Risky Business.” Whaley has been seen in “Pulp Fiction” and “Broken Arrow,” while Philippe has shone in “Cruel Intentions” and “Crash.” Bart Johnson, Joy Rovaris, Jan Luis Castellanos, Dylan Flashner, and Erica Dasher are also part of this talented cast.
Peirone stated, “Studying about ‘Saint Clare’ seems to have given me the same lessons that the main character had to learn in her path towards her destiny. I believe there’s a similarity between artists and people of faith; they both necessitate tenacity, unwavering conviction, and sacrifice. Just like Joan of Arc, the martyred visionary general, Clare has shown me that when you are blessed with vision and a clear purpose, nothing can intimidate you – not isolation, not violence, not being misjudged as insane, not rejection, and ultimately not even death.
The movie titled “Saint Clare” debuted at the 2024 Taormina Film Festival, followed by screenings at FrightFest, Oldenburg International Film Festival, and SXSW Sydney. Last year, it garnered the awards for Best Narrative Feature and Best Director at the L.A. Independent Women Film Awards. The film’s music was skillfully crafted by acclaimed singer-songwriter Zola Jesus, whose past works in film scores encompass contributions to Jim Jarmusch’s “Only Lovers Left Alive.” In collaboration with her on three tracks for this project was Philip Klein, a musician who specializes in creating soundtracks for Disney, Pixar, Netflix, Sony, and ABC films.
