PS5 System Update Out Now, Doesn’t Do Much

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve just learned that the latest system update for my PlayStation 5 is here, but let me tell you, it’s not like we’re getting a game-changer or a massive overhaul.

The updated version 24.04-11.40.00 has been released, and the changes are rather succinct: Enhancements have been made to the clarity of messages and user-friendliness on certain screens. Occasionally, the PS5 receives smaller, more detailed updates aimed at enhancing its overall system performance and stability.

For PlayStation enthusiasts, mark your calendars! Today, June 4th, the next State of Play event is scheduled to take place. This global developers’ showcase promises exciting updates and announcements about upcoming games you won’t want to miss on PS5. Stay tuned with TopMob for all the latest news as it unfolds during the event.

This week, trailers for both the latest GTA 6 and Witcher 4 demos were recorded using the PS5 console. Interestingly, it was 16 years ago this week that Rockstar unveiled a new PS-exclusive game, Agent, which unfortunately did not make it to release.

At this moment, the PlayStation 5 can be purchased at a reduced price, making it less expensive than both the Xbox Series X|S and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 when Nintendo launches their latest console next week.
