PROMPT Token Plummets! 😱 MEV Bot Strikes!

Wayfinder’s PROMPT token, barely out of its swaddling clothes, has already plummeted a staggering 68% from its initial, fleeting glory! 📉 A most unfortunate start, wouldn’t you agree? It seems the Kaito airdrop, meant to sprinkle digital fairy dust upon deserving users, was instead ambushed by a villainous MEV exploit. Oh, the indignity!

Launched with great fanfare on April 9th, Wayfinder (PROMPT) pranced onto the grand stages of OKX, KuCoin, Bitget, Gate.io, Coinbase, and even the hallowed halls of Binance Alpha. Yet, alas, this joyous occasion was soon befouled by a Maximal Extractable Value exploit – a term as delightful to the ear as a rusty hinge. A fiendish MEV bot, brazenly named “Yoink,” (one can only imagine the depths of its depravity!) front-ran the PROMPT airdrop to Kaito (KAITO) users, absconding with a king’s ransom of 119 Ethereum (ETH)! A veritable digital highway robbery! 💰

This unscrupulous MEV bot, like a greedy merchant spying a weakness, targeted the Wayfinder airdrop claim contract. Exploiting vulnerabilities with the cunning of a seasoned pickpocket, it pilfered funds from users before they could even lay claim to their allocated PROMPT tokens! Can you imagine the horror? Users, bless their vigilant souls, quickly raised the alarm. The TokenTable team, stewards of this digital bounty, swiftly paused the entire charade to address this most unsavory affair. They’ve promised full compensation to the affected parties, including reimbursement for gas fees (the audacity of charging victims!) and the stolen tokens themselves. The team assures us, with a somewhat strained smile, that the underlying smart contract remains unblemished, the exploit being merely the work of this dastardly MEV bot. 🤔

This PROMPT airdrop, you see, was intended as a grand gesture – a scattering of digital largesse to Kaito users, part of Wayfinder’s grand token distribution strategy. A whopping 40% of the total PROMPT supply was earmarked for the community! 🎁 This includes 39% for stakers of the PRIME token, 1% for those who signed up for free (a pittance, really!), and a 5 million PROMPT allocation for Kaito AI’s Social Mission program. So much for good intentions, eh? 😇

As part of this noble, yet ultimately flawed, program:

  • 4 million PROMPT tokens were bestowed upon eligible Emerging Yappers (a most curious title!) who earned over 90 Yaps but had fewer than 1,100 smart followers. Apparently, follower slippage is a serious concern in these digital realms.
  • A further 1 million PROMPT tokens were thrown at Emerging Yappers who earned fewer than 90 Yaps but more than 0 Yaps, as a reward for their valiant efforts. One can only assume these are the participation trophies of the crypto world. 🏆
  • And, to add insult to injury, a 30% booster reward was also lavished upon eligible KAITO holders. A veritable feast for some, while others are left gnawing on crumbs. 🦴

Meanwhile, the PROMPT price continues its post-launch descent into the abyss. Currently trading at a measly $0.18, it marks a 26% drop in the past 24 hours and a depressing 68% decrease from its all-time high of $0.59, achieved on April 10th. One can only wonder what the future holds for this beleaguered token. Perhaps a resurrection? Or simply a quiet fade into digital obscurity? Only time, and the whims of the crypto gods, will tell. 🤷‍♂️
