‘Prison Break’ Reboot Pilot Casts Ray McKinnon, Margo Martindale, Donal Logue, Lili Taylor

I’ve got some exciting news to share! It appears that the “Prison Break” reboot on Hulu has brought on board four new talented individuals for guest-starring roles. I’m thrilled to be part of the circle who gets to know about these developments first.

Ray McKinnon (“Deadwood,” “Mayans MC”), Margo Martindale (“Justified,” “The Sticky”), Donal Logue (“Sons of Anarchy,” “Grounded for Life”) and Lili Taylor (“Manhunt,” “Outer Range”) will appear as guest stars in the pilot episode. They join previously announced cast members Emily Browning, Lukas Gage, Drake Rodger, Clayton Cardenas, JR Bourne, Myles Bullock, Georgie Flores, and Priscilla Delgado.

This upcoming television show, created by writer Elgin James, takes place in the same universe as the initial Fox series. However, it introduces fresh characters and an entirely new narrative. The specifics of the storyline are currently confidential.

McKinnon takes on the role of Joe Dahl, a private detective delving into a murder case that’s been unsolved for a decade. Martindale steps into Jessica Strand, the Warden of one of America’s deadliest prisons. Logue portrays Holt Keane, a father mourning the loss of his family. Taylor embodies Carole Mullen, a mother determined to uncover the truth.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m proudly represented by Anonymous Content and Paradigm, much like McKinnon. Martindale has the esteemed representation of Gersh. Logue, on the other hand, is handled by Kipperman Management, Gersh, and RLG LLP, just as Taylor who is also under Independent Artist Group and Untitled Entertainment.

James serves as both writer and executive producer for the new version of the pilot, alongside Dawn Olmstead, the mastermind behind “Prison Break”, Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein, and Neal Moritz, who also serve as executive producers. The original series’ production company, 20th Television, is responsible for this project as well.

“For five seasons, ‘Prison Break’ graced Fox’s airwaves before culminating in a TV movie titled ‘The Final Break.’ Additionally, it led to a low-budget spinoff, ‘Prison Break: Proof of Innocence,’ which was accessible only on mobile devices. This popular series also triggered the creation of a video game, online episodes, a magazine, and a book.
