Premier League fans in Singapore will soon have a special streaming service just for the games, starting with the 2026/27 season. The service might also become available in the UK shortly after that.
Okay, so if you’re a football fan in the UK, getting to watch all the games can be a real pain. You basically need a Sky Sports subscription, and honestly, if you want to see everything, you’ll probably end up paying for TNT Sports and Amazon Prime Video too. It adds up, but I don’t want to miss a single match!
However, things are likely to change quickly. The Premier League recently made a deal to start its own broadcasting service, which could potentially replace companies like Sky Sports.
Premier League to get its own streaming service in Singapore

Premier League+, nicknamed ‘Premflix’, is a new streaming service launching in Singapore in August 2026. It will broadcast all 380 Premier League matches for the season and also feature exclusive behind-the-scenes video content.
The Premier League is bypassing traditional broadcasters and streaming games directly to viewers. This will provide a better experience for fans and is predicted to greatly increase the league’s income.
Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters announced a groundbreaking new deal with The Times, explaining that the league will launch its own streaming service next season. This will allow the Premier League to directly connect with fans, managing things like subscriptions, pricing, and how the service is delivered.
We’re developing a new service with the goal of expanding it globally. This app will be available on smart TVs and laptops, offering around-the-clock access to 380 matches, plus a lot of extra content. We’re confident it will be a really engaging product.
StarHub will launch this new service in Singapore under a six-year agreement. If successful, the rollout will expand to other countries, which is exciting news for people in the UK who have been eagerly waiting for it.
Could this be the end for Sky Sports in the UK?
As sports subscriptions become increasingly expensive in the UK, it’s understandable that fans are hoping this new service will become available for Premier League fans.
The Premier League is planning to launch its own streaming service, similar to Netflix, called ‘Premflix’. It will initially be tested in Singapore, with plans to expand worldwide if successful, potentially generating significant revenue.

Currently, adding Sky Sports to your existing Sky TV plan costs at least £20 a month, or around £35 if you only want the Sky Sports channels. If you also want TNT Sports, that’s another £31 a month, and Amazon Prime will add about £9. That means watching even a limited number of Premier League matches could easily cost you around £75 each month.
For fans, having all matches available in one place, and likely at a much lower price, is a clear win.
