As a lifelong fan of both PowerWash Simulator and the Shrek franchise, I can’t help but feel like I’ve stumbled upon a magical fairy tale myself! The announcement of the Shrek Special Pack for PowerWash Simulator is an absolute dream come true. Growing up, I spent countless hours immersed in the world of Far Far Away and now, I get to experience it in a whole new way – by power washing!
It seems like the story could end in “happily ever after” for gamers, as game developer FuturLab has revealed their upcoming collaboration for the casual simulation game, PowerWash Simulator. This time, they’re teaming up with Dreamworks Animation to include the magical kingdom of Far Far Away and its neighboring areas in the game, as announced is the Shrek Special Pack for PowerWash Simulator.
Similar to an onion with its layers, avid power washers will diligently dedicate several hours, scrubbing off dirt from the delicate pages of this fairytale chapter. Their goal: a spotless and content ending. This announcement was recently made during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, where the official trailer unveiled fresh details about the upcoming paid DLC.
A fairytale dream collaboration has come true for the casual sim game PowerWash Simulator as their next crossover adds the fantasy world of Shrek in the latest paid DLC pack. The Shrek Special Pack, announced during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles and PC via Steam with no release date to be confirmed.
The Shrek Special Package is the fifth paid downloadable content pack added to the game after Spongebob Squarepants, Back to the Future, Warhammer 40,000, and Alice’s Adventures. Each of these add-ons introduced distinct maps, cosmetics, and additional features to the game. Notably, the game has also received two free crossover Special Packs with Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII, which were made available in 2023.
As per its Steam description, the Shrek Special Pack features five enchanting levels: Duloc, Dragon’s Lair, Fairy Godmother’s Potion Factory, Hansel’s Honeymoon Hideaway, and the well-known Shrek’s Swamp. Moreover, a fresh thematic costume is to be included in the upcoming DLC, introducing a knight character model adorned with a sword-themed powerwasher. While this might not be helpful for defending towers, cleaning them will certainly bring a different twist to the fairy tale.
