Following the unexpected launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered recently, one concern that popped up among players was whether this release might overshadow other games. However, it wasn’t just Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, an indie RPG that came out two days later, which faced the challenge of finding space amidst the competition. In fact, another indie game struggled for visibility last week as well. The same publishing team behind the critically acclaimed Blue Prince, Raw Fury, also released Red Soul Games’ survival horror game Post Trauma on the very same day as Oblivion Remastered. But fear not, they’ve got a strategy in place.
Post Trauma decides to re-release the game after launching the same day as Oblivion
The game “Post Trauma” is set for a re-release in June, but it won’t be removed from its current availability. In fact, you can still play it now. No new content will be added to the game. The Raw Fury team announced this plan with a short video on social media platforms. They are giving players about eight and a half weeks to complete “Oblivion” before they re-release “Post Trauma”. Some of the team members in the video were even seen playing the new remaster themselves.
In the spirit of terrifying survival horror games from the PlayStation 2 era, Post Trauma is labeled as a puzzle-based horror game where players will traverse gloomy settings, encounter other stranded individuals, and confront dreadful creatures. The creators are aiming to recapture that nostalgic atmosphere by equipping the game with a stationary camera angle and reintroducing save rooms, which only intensify the already nerve-wracking progression.
Absolutely, I’m eagerly awaiting the re-release of “Post Trauma” on June 23rd. With the anticipated launch of Nintendo Switch 2, there might just be some exciting updates to look forward to! If this intriguing survival game catches your eye, you can grab it at a 10% discount on Steam until next week, and it’s a steal at only $14.99 at full price.
There’s an uneasy feeling in my gut, and it’s making me anxious. Given the string of misfortunes surrounding Post Trauma‘s release dates, it might be that Grand Theft Auto 6 is unexpectedly coming out on June 23rd. If that turns out to be true, the team behind Post Trauma could perhaps channel their skills for a more positive outcome. Maybe they should consider rescheduling the release date so that we can all enjoy Hollow Knight: Silksong sooner.
