Post Malone Probably Loves Hunt: Showdown More Than You, Has 400 Hours Of Playtime

As a gamer with a decade of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the gaming world has seen a new addition to its roster of avid gamers – Post Malone. Known for his chart-topping hits and unique personality, it’s no surprise that he’s taken to Hunt: Showdown with such enthusiasm.

During the annual awards period, renowned artist Post Malone shared his preferred game at the moment – Hunt: Showdown. Excitedly, he discussed this first-person shooter (FPS) with its lead designer, expressing that it’s simply “exceptional” in his opinion.

Malone was featured in a video (you can watch it here) alongside Scott Lussier, the creative director of Hunt: Showdown, on their YouTube channel. The musician shared that his friend introduced him to Hunt: Showdown and he’s been hooked ever since. “When I’m traveling and can’t play, I always feel its absence,” Malone said. “I’ve clocked in around 400 hours on it.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but express my admiration for Hunt: Showdown. There’s something truly exhilarating about being able to take down an opponent with a single shot, a feature that instantly grabbed my attention. Not only that, but the game offers guns and skins that are nothing short of amazing. The first time I tried out “Necro” in the game left me utterly amazed, much like the impact of hits such as “White Iverson,” “Sunflower,” and “Rockstar.” This Grammy Award-nominated musician certainly knows how to impress!

Previously, Malone has shown his affection for video games and collaborated with prominent game developers. For example, Apex Legends teamed up with Malone last year to launch an exclusive in-game event featuring musician-themed skins. Moreover, earlier this year, a special Post Malone edition controller was released by Backbone. Lastly, it’s evident that Malone is a fan of the Lord of the Rings series too.

As a dedicated gamer, I can share that August was an incredible month for me playing Hunt: Showdown, as it saw its best day ever on Steam following the release of the 1896 update. The developers at Crytek really outdid themselves by giving the game a massive visual overhaul and ending support for Xbox One and PS4. However, they generously offered free upgrades to the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions for players like me who stuck around. To top it all off, last month saw the introduction of the first crossover character – the iconic Ghost Face from Scream! Hunt: Showdown initially launched on Steam Early Access back in 2018, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
