Popular truck simulator challenges drivers with two extremely difficult tasks. Not every ETS2 player will undertake them

SCS Software continues to delight Euro Truck Simulator 2 players. The next update, version 1.57, will include two new and difficult cargo deliveries at no extra cost for those who own the Special Transport DLC. This is just one of the exciting features the developers are planning to release.

New cargo for heavy transport fans

The studio announced on Steam that update 1.57 will add two new challenging load types, pushing the skills of even veteran drivers to the limit.

A massive 30-meter wind turbine blade is being transported on a specialized four-axle, fully steerable trailer. Weighing over 26 tons, this oversized load requires extremely careful driving, particularly on narrow roads and around tight curves. Players will be able to haul this cargo on routes between Rostock and Berlin in Germany, and later on the upcoming Nordic Horizons expansion featuring Jyvaskyla and Vaasa.

The second new addition is a huge mining loader, weighing 54.5 tons – or 72 tons when including the trailer. This massive piece of equipment will be transported on a specialized six-axle low-loader trailer. You’ll be able to take on new contracts with it between Dortmund and Hanover, and it will also be featured in the upcoming Nordic Horizons expansion on the Narvik–Kiruna route.

Refreshed logos and company paint jobs

The 1.57 update will include new logos and paint schemes for trucks and trailers. The developers have updated the designs to be more modern while still keeping them familiar, and they’ve added more ways to customize your vehicles with a new RGB color selector. These improvements will be available in both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.

DAF XF Electric unveiled

SCS Software has released a new video as part of their “SCS On The Road” series, focusing on the DAF XF Electric truck. The team went to the DAF factory in Eindhoven to showcase the vehicle. This highlights their continued effort to bring electric vehicles to Euro Truck Simulator 2 – the XF Electric is already playable in the game.
