Police deliver customer’s Little Caesars order after arresting Grubhub driver

Police officers in Tempe, Arizona ensured that a local resident received their pre-made pizza (Hot-N-Ready) even after apprehending the Grubhub delivery driver who was bringing it.

On July 12, the Tempe Police Department shared a viral video that featured bodycam footage capturing two police officers stopping a driver who was employed by Grubhub.

After taking the suspect into custody, the officers decided to finish the task, which included delivering the entire order from Little Caesar’s pizza.

During a routine traffic stop, when a delivery driver was taken into custody, our team ensured that the customer received their pizza promptly. The department playfully commented on this incident by saying, “The order was ‘Always Ready,’ while the suspect was ‘Always in Custody.’

Over the Independence Day weekend, an arrest occurred involving a driver. However, the authorities have yet to disclose the reasons behind this individual’s detention.

In this viral video with over 130,000 views on X, you see a grateful woman expressing thanks to the police officers who delivered her meal. “I truly value the pizza,” she remarks, accepting the takeout container from them.

Grubhub expressed their gratitude to the police officers who went above and beyond in delivering an order to one of their customers, stating that it showcases the exceptional dedication of the Tempe Police Department towards their community.

On another occasion, law enforcement has previously intervened to complete a delivery task. Back in 2022, an officer from South Dakota gained widespread attention on TikTok by apprehending a DoorDash driver and then personally distributing the ordered food himself.
