PokePark Kanto Will Let You Experience “Real” World Of Pokemon In 2026

In a short while, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Sedge Town and Pokemon Forest, where you can find a lively gang of Pikachu enjoying the woods. This is due to the upcoming opening of PokePark Kanto in early 2026, with ticket sales for this Tokyo attraction starting towards the end of this year.

During today’s Pokemon Presents livestream, The Pokemon Company unveiled details about PokePark Kanto. This is set to be the first ever permanent outdoor Pokemon attraction. Spanning across two primary zones – Sedge Town and Pokemon Forest – it occupies a 26,000-meter area within Yomiuriland. The Pokemon Forest aims to portray Pokemon in their natural habitats, while Sedge Town is designed for trainers and Pokemon to coexist.

An intriguing aspect of PokePark Kanto is that it doesn’t take place in a universal theme park, unlike Super Nintendo World, which recently opened at Universal Orlando, with counterparts in Universal Studios Hollywood and Japan.

PokéPark Kanto was unveiled in December 2023, as per Nintendo Life’s report. This new attraction is set in the same world as the initial Pokémon games, Red and Blue, which were released back in 1996 on Game Boy. Excitingly, the park will open three decades after those iconic titles first debuted in Japan.

Simultaneously, The Pokemon Company unveiled Pokemon Friends for Nintendo Switch consoles and smartphones today. Furthermore, a fresh trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A was released, showcasing the inhabitants of Lumiose City.
