As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of collecting Pokémon cards under my belt, the announcement of the Scarlet & Violet – Surging Sparks expansion has me more excited than a Pikachu on Red Bull! November 8, 2024, can’t come soon enough. I remember when I first started this journey with the Base Set, and now we’re getting Tera Pokémon ex, ACE SPEC cards, and even rare cards like Latias ex, Alolan Exeggutor ex, and Archaludon ex!
The next expansion for Pokemon TCG based on the Scarlet & Violet video game generation is coming soon, alongside a collaboration product with Pokemon Horizons: The Series, both coming this November to the Pokemon Center and local game stores near you.
Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet – Surging Sparks Release Date: November 8, 2024
The upcoming addition to the Pokemon Trading Card Game Scarlet & Violet, titled Surging Sparks, is set to be released for purchase on November 8, 2024. As with previous releases, this new set will hit the shelves at Pokemon Centers in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Additionally, you’ll find them in retail stores and local gaming outlets, which are common places to buy your Pokemon TCG goods.
In the upcoming collection, you’ll find Tera Pokémon such as Pikachu ex, boasting its extraordinary Topaz Bolt move. This series, called Surging Sparks, revolves around Terarium-themed cards, reminiscent of the artificial haven players initially discovered in The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on Nintendo Switch, during Part 2 of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
In this collection of cards, some hard-to-find ones that enthusiasts might strive to obtain are the newly introduced ACE SPEC cards, along with Latias ex, Alolan Exeggutor ex, and Archaludon ex cards.
Additionally, the collection will feature numerous potent electric-type Pokémon, making it an exciting boost for trainers specializing in this type. They’ll undoubtedly gain plenty of fresh cards to incorporate into their decks and treasured collections.
The upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) collection, Scarlet & Violet – Surging Sparks, will feature some significant additions to the game as follows:
- Eight ACE SPEC cards
- Nine Stellar Tera Pokémon ex and nine Pokémon ex
- 23 illustration rare Pokémon
- 11 special illustrations rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
- Six hyper rare gold etched cards
Beginning October 26, Pokémon Trading Card Game enthusiasts can test out the latest cards during the Prerelease event. This event takes place at your neighborhood game shops and independent retailers.
1) The upcoming Pokemon TCG Live app, which can be accessed on both PC and mobile devices (Android and iOS), will also include the newly arriving set. The “Scarlet & Violet – Surging Sparks” expansion is set to debut in the online game, commencing from November 7, 2024.
Pokemon TCG Grand Adventure Collection Release Date: November 15, 2024
In November, you’ll see a joint collection from Pokemon Horizons: The Series titled “The Series Collaboration Collection” hitting the shelves. From November 15, 2024, both local gaming shops and independent retailers, along with Pokemon Centers, will stock the Pokemon TCG Grand Adventure Collection for players to purchase.
This set features cards depicting Liko and Roy and their partner Pokemon Spirigatito and Fuecoco. The Grand Adventure Collection features the two aforementioned cards, four Scarlet & Violet Series booster packs, two promo cards, and an oversized card, each featuring the Pokemon Horizons: The Series logo.
