As a lifelong Pokémon enthusiast who’s seen the franchise evolve from Game Boy to mobile devices, I must say I am utterly thrilled by the success of Pokémon TCG Pocket. The game has truly taken the world by storm, raking in over $12 million in just four days! It’s a testament to how much we all love catching ’em all and trading those precious cards.
A freshly published report highlights the continued prosperity of the mobile version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Pocket, that made its debut on smartphones at the tail end of October 2024. This game has generated impressive revenue figures since its launch for both Android and iOS devices. The mobile game was met with praise from critics and gamers upon release, although some technical difficulties arose specifically with the iOS version after the initial launch. These issues have since been addressed in updates.
Despite not appearing to discourage its success, the game managed to generate a substantial income in the days after its launch. This data was obtained from AppMagic, a market intelligence tool, which indicated that the game had accumulated more than $12 million in revenue and is still growing rapidly at this point.
Incredible! I’m utterly astonished. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to #PokemonTCGPocket surpassing 10 million downloads. We’re truly appreciative and wish everyone a fantastic time playing the game. More exciting developments are on the horizon!
