As a seasoned Pokémon TCG enthusiast who has been collecting and battling with these magical creatures since the early days of the card game, I can hardly contain my excitement over the latest leaks and upcoming events for the new mobile trading card game, Pokemon TCG Pocket!
Information from a recent leak suggests that four brand-new sets of Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) content, along with associated events, are expected to be rolled out in the mobile version of the game shortly.
Initially following its release, Pocket managed to outdo Pokemon Go’s daily earnings within just a few short days. It quickly garnered attention as a quick and relaxed option compared to the more intense competition presented by Pokemon TCG Live.
The Lapras EX is now accessible in the game, obtainable from the Promo-A Series Vol. 1 booster pack until November 18, 2024 during the Lapras EX Drop Event. Players can earn this new version of Lapras by completing challenges. However, hints about what lies ahead for Pocket have been disclosed prematurely.
Based on tweets from a reliable source known as PokeGirlLauren, there’s an upcoming mini-set named “A1a” scheduled for release on December 16. The following set, referred to as “A2,” is slated for launch on January 29 and is predicted to feature approximately 230 cards and significantly alter the gameplay dynamics (meta).
They also claimed that the developers plan to release four new sets and four mini-sets each year.
On December 16th, the first mini set A1a of the Pokémon TCG Pocket Set will hit shelves.

In a separate post, they also detailed all the rumored upcoming events planned for Pocket:
- Black Friday Gold Event – November 22 to December 2
- Magikarp/Gyarados – November 22 to 28
- Arcanine – November 22 to 28
- Venusaur – November 29 to December 13
Although there’s still limited knowledge about the said incidents, PokeGirlLauren has provided further details on the Arcanine event since then.
They mentioned that the upcoming Arcanine occasion is going to be known as a “Rare Selection” event, in which you’ll find Arcanine EX alongside other holographic cards such as Charizard, Moltres, and Zapdos.
