As a seasoned gamer with years of Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon learning about the Lapras EX Drop Event in Pokemon TCG Pocket! The opportunity to add such a powerful and rare card as Lapras EX to my collection is truly tantalizing.
The Limited-Time Lapras EX Drop Event in Pokemon TCG Pocket offers a thrilling chance for gamers to secure unique prizes, such as the coveted Lapras EX trading card.
During the Pocket event, you’ll find the opportunity to secure the latest, stronger variant from the Promo-A Series Vol. 1 booster pack. Additionally, this event offers a chance to acquire four distinct new Pokémon versions.
This manual provides comprehensive information, ensuring you are well-prepared and equipped with top-notch tactics to succeed in the competition and successfully tackle the growing challenge posed by the Lapras decks.
Event Dates
Starting on November 5th, 2024, I’ll be diving back into my favorite gaming world, as the event kicks off and continues until November 18th, wrapping up at 12:59 AM Eastern Time. This is not just any ordinary event, but the second one in the game’s history and the debut of its groundbreaking Drop Event!
In Solo Battles, players will face off against four increasingly difficult decks featuring Lapras and Lapras EX cards. By completing missions, participants can claim unique rewards. These rewards include new versions of the Lapras EX card, as well as Event Hourglasses. These hourglasses can be traded for additional booster packs.
How to start
Here are all the steps to follow to begin participating in the Lapras EX Pocket event:
- Select the ‘Battle’ tab from the in-game menu
- Choose the ‘Solo’ category
- Select the ‘Lapras Ex Drop Event’ option
- Pick from one of the four choices
To access the Battle menu, you’ll need to advance your character to level 3. This can be achieved swiftly by gaining Experience Points (EXP) through tasks, unwrapping card packs, and joining Wonder Picks events. Reaching level 3 usually takes just a couple of minutes. Additionally, make sure you’ve completed all six steps in the Battle Guide for New Players before attempting to unlock the menu.
In the latest update, we’ve introduced a unique endurance system for events called “Event Energy.” This energy is consumed after every win. Additionally, you can gather “Event Timepieces” from basic and advanced solo fights, which help refill your Event Energy.
Deck Overview
As a gamer, I’d say: “In the world of Pocket TCG, the Lapras EX Deck stands out as a unique Water deck, boasting the stronger ‘EX’ variant of Lapras from the Genetic Apex set. During special events, there are different versions tailored for each Solo Battle difficulty. These versions come packed with an assortment of Water-type cards, along with the regular non-EX Lapras packs.
See below for an overview of the Lapras EX deck:
Strengths:
- Lapras Ex’s 140 HP makes it tough to beat
- The Bubble Drain attack only costs 2 Water and 1 Colorless Energy
- Deals decent damage of 80
Weaknesses:
- Water Pokemon take +20 damage from Lightning-type Pokemon
Full Deck List
During the Lapras EX event, you’ll encounter four distinct challenge tiers: Beginner, Medium, Hard, and Master. As you advance, each AI-controlled rival will field more formidable decks.
