Created jointly by Creatures, Inc. and DeNA Co., Ltd, this mobile app transforms our gaming experience, enabling us to open virtual booster packs, engage in thrilling online battles, and strive to fill our very own Pokédex – all in a game that’s free-to-start!
In Pokémon TCG Pocket, although there’s an option for premium passes or microtransactions, players can still fully enjoy the game without spending a dime. Every free player gets to open two booster packs daily, and they can get more if they have enough extra items to expedite the process.

This app serves as an accessible platform for both seasoned Pokémon Trading Card Game enthusiasts and novice players to engage in the card game anytime, anywhere. Here, they can grasp the fundamentals, amass cards featuring beautiful artwork, and even play by a streamlined set of rules compared to the comprehensive ones in the conventional TCG.
- Decks are made of 20 cards and no more than two cards with the same name can be included in a deck.
- Each player can only have up to ten cards in their hand, rather than an unlimited hand size.
- Cards have no Resistance and have a Weakness modifier of +20 instead of ×2.
In the four days since its release on October 30 for both iOS and Android globally (with an early launch in New Zealand on September 26), Pokémon TCG Pocket has already earned over $12 million.
