This particular Pokemon is recognized for its durable build and strong offensive capabilities, especially effective against Blastoise.

Blastoise Drop Event dates
Starting from New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2024, I’ll be diving into the Blastoise Drop Event in Pokemon TCG Pocket! This event lasts until January 14th, 2025. Similar to previous events, it’s a solo adventure with four levels of battles to conquer. Just remember, once the event wraps up, these battles will vanish too!
How to start
Here are all the steps to follow to begin participating in the Blastoise Drop Event:
- Select the ‘Battle’ tab from the in-game menu
- Choose the ‘Solo’ category
- Select the ‘Blastoise Drop Event’ option
- Select the ‘Beginner‘ option to begin the event.
Similar to past Drop Events, I’ll need to have reached level three and completed all six steps designed for new players within the Battle Guide. Once these prerequisites are met, I’ll be eligible to join the event!

During the “Blastoise Drop” event, you’ll have an opportunity to face off against various challenge tiers: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master.
In the initial pair of decks, you’ll find regular Blastoise cards. However, the Advanced and Expert decks introduce one and two Blastoise EX cards respectively. This potent version boasts enhanced health (180 HP) and even stronger attacks, such as Hydro Bazooka, which inflicts 160 damage when connected with two additional water energy cards.
