The Pokemon Company recently announced that the soundtrack for “Pokemon Sword and Shield” has been added to the Nintendo Music app. Users with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription can now listen to tracks from the eighth generation of mainline Pokemon series games within this app.
This recent update fills a sequence as Nintendo progressively incorporates soundtracks from significant Pokémon games initially launched on the original Nintendo Switch, in a reversed release timeline (excluding remakes like Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee). The soundtrack for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was included at launch when the Nintendo Music app debuted last year on Halloween (October 31), followed by the addition of the Pokémon Legends: Arceus soundtrack on January 28.
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have shared a brief video previewing the game’s music, which you can watch just beneath this text. The games, titled Pokemon Sword and Shield, are now globally accessible on the Nintendo Switch, and they will also be playable on the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2 through backward compatibility.
Fans of Pokémon Sword & Shield can now enjoy the game’s music on the Nintendo Music app for smartphones, exclusively available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers! Relive the intense battles in the Stadium once more! #PokemonSwordShield
