Okay, so the new Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC is getting a bunch of Mega Evolutions, which is awesome! They just dropped another reveal, and it’s a second Mega form for Lucario! I’m super excited to see how this one plays – Lucario was already a beast, but a second Mega? Bring it on!
Okay, so Mega Lucario Z is a really cool new thing in the game – it’s the first Pokémon that can do a ‘Z Mega Evolution’! Basically, it’s like a regular Mega Evolution, but it’s way faster to activate. The downside? It drains your Mega Energy super quickly. According to the official Pokémon site, these Z Mega Evolutions let you attack almost instantly after telling your Pokémon to go, but they’re not great for long fights because they burn through all their power so fast.
Similar to its original form, Mega Lucario Z is a Steel and Fighting-type Pokémon. The main difference lies in its defenses and speed. According to the official Pokémon website, while regular Mega Lucario focuses its energy for powerful attacks, Mega Lucario Z spreads that energy throughout its body, creating a protective barrier that boosts its defense, flexibility, and speed.
We don’t yet know which other Pokémon will gain the ability to Z-Mega Evolve, but the Mega Dimension DLC has already revealed several new Mega Evolutions. Along with Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, players can look forward to Mega Evolutions for Baxcalibur, Chimecho, and the Legendary Pokémon Zeraora.
The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A arrives on December 10th and will cost $30. It introduces a new area called Hyperspace Lumiose, where players can find Pokemon not typically found in the original game, and even encounter wild Pokemon with levels exceeding 100.
The third season of Ranked Battles in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is happening now and runs until December 17th. If you reach Rank S before the season ends, you’ll get a Mega Stone for Chestnaught. Plus, a new Mystery Gift is available for everyone! You can claim a free Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, which will unlock a special quest where you can battle and catch the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo.
