The new Pokémon Legends: Z-A game has finally acknowledged something fans have always wondered: Pokémon need to use the restroom!
According to Automaton, some Pokémon game NPCs have surprisingly realistic concerns. One Lumiose City resident mentions their Pikachu has been unwell with a stomachache, and another wonders how to clean up after their Pokémon.
For the first time ever in a core Pokémon game, the series has openly acknowledged that Pokémon need to use the bathroom, confirming they poop!

For decades, Pokémon have been depicted doing things like eating, sleeping, and fighting, but their natural bodily functions have always been hidden. The only hints about this side of Pokémon life come from the Pokédex entries for species like Grimer, Trubbish, and Garbodor, which mention they are made from or feed on waste materials.
It’s not just the Pokémon themselves that people are noticing in Legends: Z-A. The game’s characters are also getting a lot of attention, with players sharing funny and strange conversations they’ve had, which are quickly becoming popular online.
