Pokemon just opened a real footbath where Gyarados helps wash your feet

Okay, you guys, this is AMAZING! Pokémon just opened a footbath in Japan, and it’s totally themed around Water-types! Imagine soaking your feet while looking at Gyarados, Vaporeon, Psyduck, Poliwag, and even the newest starter, Quaxly! As a huge fan, I’m seriously wishing I could be there right now!

A new Pokemon-themed footbath opened on May 12th in Yuttari Park, Wakura Onsen, Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The Pokemon With You Foundation and the city of Nanao worked together to renovate the existing footbath area to create the new facility.

This unique attraction is a public foot bath where you can soak and warm your feet while enjoying Pokémon decorations. The highlight is a large Gyarados sculpture positioned above the water, creating the illusion that it’s splashing water into the bath.

Pictures of the building reveal several Pokémon scattered around inside, like Pikachu, Psyduck, Quaxly, Poliwag, Poliwhirl, and Vaporeon. A large Gyarados is positioned by the water, giving the impression of an unusual, but surprisingly professional, Pokémon spa experience.

You can use this facility for free from 7 AM to 7 PM. It’s in Hibari, Wakura-machi, Nanao City, and there’s parking available. However, it might be closed during bad weather.

The Wakura Pokemon Footbath is connected to the Pokemon manhole covers found in Nanao City, which showcase Gyarados, Poliwag, and Politoed. While announced earlier this year, recent photos finally reveal the completed footbath.

This opening happens while Wakura Onsen is still rebuilding after the devastating 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake, which significantly impacted the area’s tourist attractions.

Local leaders believe the new Pokémon attraction will attract more tourists to the area and give fans a fun reason to visit this famous Japanese hot spring destination.
