Pokemon Go’s 2024 Halloween Part 2 teaser seems to hint Mega Mewtwo’s debut

As a dedicated Pokémon Go player with over a decade of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that this year’s Halloween event has me more excited than ever! The teaser for Part 2 has left us fans in a frenzy, with theories swirling around like Pikachu in a blizzard.

Enthusiasts of Pokemon Go are getting excited about the upcoming Halloween event in 2024. Although details for Part 1 have been revealed with the lineup of participating species, there’s still some uncertainty regarding Part 2, as hints suggest a possible reappearance of a beloved Kanto Legendary creature.

The Pokemon Go 2024 Halloween Part 1 celebration starts on October 22, 2024, and runs through October 28. Players are thrilled about the introduction of Morpeko, but it’s the upcoming Halloween Part 2 event that has everyone even more eagerly anticipating.

Information about the upcoming events has been posted on social media platforms, where Niantic hinted at the schedule for Pokemon Go’s Halloween Part 2 through their official PokemonGoAppX account.

Who could it be? 👀

What will be revealed in #PokemonGO during part two of the Halloween event? 🎃👻

Similar to the Halloween Part 1 trailer, Niantic poses the question “Who could it be?” by posting a picture filled with Pokemon shapes. Many of them can be easily identified, such as Pikachu in a Witch’s hat, Vulpix with a neck scarf, Pumpkaboo wearing a hat, Piplup donning a hat, Rowlett sporting a hat, Froakie in a Hat, and an egg Incubator visible.

However, a few dedicated Pokemon Go fans have said there is more to this teaser than the easily spotted selection. One player has pointed out an image in the background that could easily be mistaken as a headstone.

Is that a wiglett or.. 👀

They theorized it might be Wiglett, but it looks very similar to Paldea’s Orthworm.

But, an intriguing image resembling Pokemon Go has drawn the attention of fans, positioned at the top right corner in the teaser. Amidst a group of rather distinct tree branches, one player has identified a shape that appears somewhat odd and out of context.

Is that Mewtwo top right? 👀

“Is that Mewtwo top right?” they asked, including a close-up of the strange shapes.

Some trainers have brushed off this anomaly, with one commenting, “I’m afraid that’s only a tree branch, buddy.” However, others remain intrigued by its peculiar form and are venturing guesses that it might be hinting at Mega Mewtwo.

In Pokemon Go, Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y haven’t appeared yet. These are among the final Mega Evolutions yet to be introduced in the game. Some speculate that they might be saved for last, creating a grand finale for the introduction of Mega Evolutions with the beloved character from Kanto.

On the other hand, some commentators on the teaser video have expressed positive guesses, saying, “It seems to be Mega Mewtwo… Notice his distinctive tail.

By examining the promotional picture, the shade within the trees seems unlike any other branches in its vicinity. Yet, we can’t make a definite judgment until Niantic reveals the confirmed list of Pokémon for Pokémon Go’s Halloween Part 2 extravaganza.
