As a seasoned Pokémon Go player with years of catching and battling under my belt, let me tell you, the upcoming events in September are shaping up to be nothing short of spectacular!
The latest Max Out season for Pokemon Go has commenced, and the mobile game is starting off strongly this month. For the entirety of September, Pokemon Go will organize several events and activities showcasing new Galar Pokemon, such as a Falinks Raid Day and fresh raid battles against towering Dynamax Pokemon.
This month brings some exciting news for Pokemon Go players: they can anticipate Spotlight Hours and a Community Day featuring both common Ponyta and its Galarian counterpart. Here’s an overview of the major events taking place in Pokemon Go throughout September.

Raid Schedule
This month, Pokemon Go is revising its raid lineup again. In the upcoming weeks, gamers can attempt to find the legendary creatures Kyogre, Groudon, and Zacian in five-star battles, while Mega Absol, Mega Houndoom, and Mega Gardevoir will make a comeback in Mega raids throughout September.
Additionally, the game has introduced a fresh type of raid: Max Battles. These collaborative struggles involve players battling against a colossal Dynamax Pokémon. Initially, Max Battles will showcase the Kanto starters Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, along with the Galar Pokémon Skwovet and Wooloo in the initial set.

On every Tuesday evening, specifically from 6 to 7 PM in your local time zone, players will find increased opportunities to come across a specific Pokémon and receive additional rewards like extra Experience Points (XP) or Stardust when catching or evolving Pokémon. Go All Out
Pokemon Go is commencing September with a “Go All Out” event running from the 3rd to the 10th. During this period, an array of Galar Pokemon such as Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, and Dreepy will be spotted in the wild and emerging from eggs. This represents your initial opportunity to incorporate these creatures into your collection.
Besides the usual encounters with wild Pokemon, there will be new tasks based on special events and challenges to collect specific Pokemon during the event. Finishing these missions gives you various prizes, one of which is extra opportunities to catch Pokemon from Galar region. Additionally, there will be benefits throughout the event, such as doubled experience points for capturing and evolving Pokemon.

Go Big
The special feature known as Galar’s Dynamax phenomenon is set to appear in Pokemon Go during the Go Big event, taking place from September 10th through to the 15th.
During the entire duration of the event, participants can engage in exciting battles called Max Battles, which are specially designed raids against Dynamax Pokemon. The first set of bosses for Max Battles include Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo. Any Pokemon you capture from these battles can dynamically increase in size using the Dynamax ability when participating in further Max Battles.
Starting September 3, I’m thrilled to share that Pokemon Go is introducing an extended Special Research narrative! Throughout this journey, I’ll have the chance to gather Max Particles and a Dynamax Band item for my character as rewards.
Falinks Raid Day
On September 8th, the Pokemon Falinks from Galar will take center stage during a special Falinks Raid Day event! From 2-5 PM local time, Falinks will appear in raid battles more often, and you’ll have a higher chance of finding a shimmering shiny Falinks during these battles. Additionally, by spinning the Photo Disc at a gym, you can collect up to five free passes for joining raid battles!
Ponyta Community Day
For this month’s Community Day, mark your calendars for September 14th! During this special occasion, you’ll encounter both Ponyta and Galarian Ponyta in the wild more frequently than typical. Plus, each of these creatures will learn an exclusive move – Wild Charge – once they evolve into Rapidash.
During this special event, not only will you catch Pokémon, but you’ll get double candy and triple Stardust for each capture! Plus, Lure Modules and Incense you activate will last three times longer than usual. Additionally, after the event concludes, there will be bonus four-star raids featuring both types of Ponyta.
Psychic Spectacular
The much-anticipated annual Pokémon Go event focused on Psychic-type Pokémons, known as the Psychic Spectacular, is set to return from September 18-22. At this point, specifics about the event have yet to be shared, but players can look forward to encountering a mix of new and returning psychic Pokémons during the event.
Oranguru and Passimian Research Day
This month’s grand finale for Pokemon Go, the Psychic Spectacular, is concluding with a unique Research Day event showcasing Oranguru and Passimian, two recently discovered Pokemon from the Galar region. The event is scheduled on September 22, from 2-5 PM in your local time zone. Further details will be shared as we approach the event.
Legendary Heroes
Pokemon Go is wrapping up September with an upcoming event called “Legendary Heroes.” So far, details are scarce, but the event is scheduled to run from the 26th of September until the 1st of October.
