As a seasoned Pokemon Trainer with decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming Shiny Regieleki is a game-changer for both PvP and Raids. Having grown up with the original Regis, it’s fascinating to see how their descendants have evolved (pun intended).
Get ready! Soon, Regieleki will reveal its radiant form in Pokemon Go. If you’re eager to display this new addition in your battles, take a look at the ideal moveset to train on your Legendary creature, suitable for both trainer versus trainer (PvP) duels and raids.
In the games Pokemon Sword & Shield, a new character, the Electric-type Regieleki, was also presented, joining the already existing Dragon-type Regidrago. Both of these creatures belong to the Legendary Titans group, which includes the widely recognized Regice, Registeel, and Regirock as well.
Since the Max Out series spotlights the Galar region, Shiny Regieleki is set to make its first appearance during the Max Out Grand Finale event. If you’re fortunate enough to snag one, here are some top-notch moves to employ in combat.
Best moveset for PvP
The best moveset you can teach Regieleki for PvP consists of Thunder Shock as a Fast Move and Thunder as a Charged Move.
As a gamer, I’ve found that while my Rigieleki boasts the highest Attack stat among Regis (apart from Regigigas), it doesn’t truly shine in battles. In fact, when stacked up against other Electric or Steel-type Pokémon like Electivire and Magnezone, it falls a bit short.
If you’re absolutely set on taking this Titan into battle, I’d strongly recommend arming it with the swift and powerful Thunder Shock as its Fast Move. This is because Thunder Shock generates energy at a rapid pace, enabling you to reach your Charged Move much quicker in the heat of combat.
As a gamer, I’d say: When it comes to Regieleki, all three of its charged moves cost the same energy. However, Thunder is faster than Zap Cannon, making it a better choice to complement Thunder Shock with a powerful Electric-type attack. If you’ve got the extra resources, go ahead and throw in Hyper Beam as a secondary charged move to dish out even more damage and widen your attack options.
Best moveset for Raids
In Raids, Regieleki’s optimal moveset consists of using Thunder Shock as the quick move and Zap Cannon as the special move. This setup delivers a damage rate of 13.71 DPS (Damage Per Second) and a total output of 161.64 damage.
Generally, when it comes to Raids, the optimal tactic often involves using a Pokémon with a matching type move-set. Given that Regieleki has both Electric and Normal-type moves, it would be wiser to opt for a full Electric build, since this takes advantage of Same Type Attack Bonus (STAB).
As a fan, I’d say that, much like in Player vs. Player battles, Thunder Shock continues to be my top pick for Fast Move. When it comes to the Charged Move, I’d opt for swapping Thunder with Zap Cannon. This move delivers a significantly higher amount of damage and has a 33% chance of lowering your foe’s Attack stat by 20%.
All moves Regieleki can learn in Pokemon Go
Regieleki, the powerful Electric-type Legendary, isn’t known for its extensive repertoire of moves. It can learn a maximum of three Fast Moves and three Charged Moves, with most of these skills aligning with its single typing.

- Volt Switch (Electric/STAB)
- Lock-On (Normal)
