As a thrilled supporter, I’m excited to share that the Magnetic Study event will unfold from October 15, 2024, at midnight, right up until October 17, 2024, at 11:59 PM (local time). Here’s the best part – no tickets need to be purchased for this event! As long as you’ve downloaded the app, you’re all set to join in on the fun.

All Magentic Study event bonuses

Among the enjoyable aspects of brief events in Pokemon Go, one standout feature is the event bonuses. Here’s a list of all the enhancements players can benefit from during the Magnetic Study event. It’s worth mentioning that each of the three days of this event offers unique bonuses.

DateBonuses
October 15x2 XP for catching Pokemon
October 1650% more XP from Raid Battles
October 17x2 Stardust for catching Pokemon

Even though it’s unfortunate that these benefits can’t be enjoyed simultaneously, it presents an excellent opportunity for accumulating Experience Points (XP) and Stardust concurrently.

Magnetic Study Timed Research Rewards

During each day of the Magnetic Study event, there will be a fresh Timed Research task available for players to tackle. Each day presents distinct prizes and concentrates on one of the three Electric-type Pokémon: Plusle, Minun, and Magnemite.

Below are all of the rewards for the Magnetic Study Timed Research.

DateRewards
October 15– Encounters with Plusle
– 5000 XP
– 2,500 Stardust
October 16– Encounters with Magnemite
– 1 Magnetic Lure Module
October 17– Encounters with Minun
– 5000 XP
– 2500 Stardust

Make sure you note that Time Research tasks should only be performed when they’re active. Ensure these tasks are finished no later than October 17, 2024, at 11:59 PM local time. Failure to do so may result in the tasks expiring and any progress being forfeited by players.

All Field Magnetic Study Field Research encounters

At the Magnetic Study event, some Field Research activities will lead to meetings with Magnemite, Plusle, and Minun.

All three of these Pokemon have the chance of being Shiny.

Is the Pokemon Go Magnetic Study event worth it?

When there are free activities in Pokemon Go, it’s generally a good idea to participate as you can often gain benefits and bonuses from doing so.

If you examine the Pokemon highlighted in this event closely, players might prefer to hold off on spending resources, as they may be planning ahead for Wild Area 2024. Plusle and Minun aren’t particularly strong in competitive battles, don’t evolve, lack Mega Evolutions, and are relatively common, suggesting that they may not be worth investing in at this time.

In this contest, Magnemite emerges as the champion! By using 25 Magnemite Candies, it can transform into Magneton, and with 100 Magnemite Candies, it can evolve further into Magnezone.

Magnezone boasts a robust arsenal of moves, such as Wild Charge and Charge Beam. It excels in both offensive and defensive strategies during PvP or Raid fights. The optimal moment to accumulate Magnemite Candy is during the Magnetic Study period, and it may even yield a high-level Magnemite from Timed Research encounters.

Simply put, if you’re looking for a reliable Electric-type member for your team, participating in the Pokemon Go Magnetic Study event won’t cost you anything.
