
After a tragic stabbing at its main store in Tokyo, The Pokémon Company has announced the location will stay closed while police conduct their investigation.
On March 26th, a man attacked a female employee with a knife at the Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City, and then harmed himself.
The two people, thought to be in their twenties, were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but unfortunately passed away.
Following the incident, The Pokémon Company announced the store would be temporarily closed to focus on supporting its staff and working with the police.
