Pokemon Champions trailer

At the Pokemon Presents event on February 27th, a sneak peek for Pokemon Champions was unveiled. This preview took us back to Pokemon’s humble beginnings, with kids engaging in battles via link cable on Game Boy systems. To stir up feelings of nostalgia, it also showcased scenes reminiscent of the beloved N64 game, Pokemon Stadium, focusing heavily on battling. Pokemon Champions continues this tradition and offers players a chance to fight each other, regardless of their location, using Switch and mobile devices, made possible by the internet. However, the trailer didn’t provide extensive gameplay footage.

Here’s what you can observe: A grand 2v2 fight unfolds, with Charizard and Cetitan squaring off against each other on an immense battleground. Take a peek at the trailer down below.

Pokemon Champions platforms

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming Pokémon Champions is being crafted for both Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. What makes this even more exciting is the cross-play functionality between these platforms, allowing us gamers to join forces no matter where we are. Although The Pokémon Company didn’t explicitly mention Switch 2, it’s intriguing to speculate that Pokémon Champions could potentially be playable on Switch 2 via backwards compatibility. Can’t wait to see how this pans out!

Pokemon Home support

In simple terms, Pokemon Champions lets you transfer your Pokemon from various games directly into Pokemon Champions. This can be achieved through Pokemon Home, a service available on both the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. When connected to a Nintendo Account, Pokemon Home facilitates moving creatures between compatible games.

Among the games we presently have on offer are Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
