As a seasoned wanderer myself, I can’t help but appreciate the latest updates for Shiren The Wanderer 6. It seems like the developers have really outdone themselves with this Plus Pack, especially the Soul of Serpentcoil Island – a dungeon that promises to be even more challenging than its predecessor.
After being unveiled during the latest Nintendo Direct broadcast from Japan last week, Spike Chunsoft has disclosed that the additional content pack DLC for Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island will debut in the Western market in two segments. The first segment is scheduled to roll out on September 10, a brief while after its Japanese release. The second part of this Plus Pack will coincide with Japan’s launch on October 31.
In the Plus Pack, you’ll find not only 5 fresh dungeons but also a playable character named Koppa in the Sacred Tree Mode with Part 1. Similarly, Part 2 offers another 5 dungeons along with the playable character Asuka in the Sacred Tree Mode. The Plus Pack is priced at $14.99 for both parts and these components cannot be bought individually.

Today, Spike Chunsoft Inc. unveiled the “Plus Pack” expansion as a paid DLC for the Roguelike RPG “Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island” on Nintendo Switch. This addition offers new playable characters and 10 newly designed dungeons to explore.
The Plus Pack is set to debut in two divisions: Division 1, scheduled for September 10, 2024 in North America and Europe, and Division 2 on October 31, 2024.
Moreover, you can access the recently released Third Content Update right away. This update introduces several fresh features such as three brand-new dungeons and a showcase area called the Gear Rack, where you can exhibit your collected weapons and shields.
About Plus Pack
Part 1 adds Koppa as a playable character, and Part 2 adds Asuka.
In the Sacred Tree setting, you get to pick from a duo of fresh playable characters. For starters, there’s Koppa, the chatty ferret. Unlike other characters, he doesn’t dish out damage with attacks, but he zips around at twice the speed! Since Koppa doesn’t use gear, you’ll traverse dungeons by employing unique talents such as Burrow and Frantic Fart. These abilities consume your Fullness points.
In Part 2, you’ll get Asuka. Additional details to be announced.
Koppa
A ferret named Koppa journeys with Shiren, exhibiting an unusual ability to converse like a human and comprehend our language. Once you’ve advanced Tatsumi Shiren in the Sacred Tree trials and progressed through the story, Koppa becomes usable.
Asuka
She’s an experienced swordsman, often roaming, who shares a long-standing bond with Shiren and Koppa. Her latest journey brings her to Serpentcoil Island, where she reconnects with her old friends for a purpose particular to her.
10 New Dungeons
There will be a total of 10 new dungeons: five in Part 1 and five in Part 2.
In the initial section of the Plus Pack, you’ll encounter dungeons like Forest of Frugality, where your items change with each floor you navigate, and Peachy Trap Domain, where mastering traps and transforming into monsters is crucial. Moving on to Part 2 of the Plus Pack, we’re going to introduce a challenging dungeon named Soul of Serpentcoil Island, which exceeds the difficulty level of our toughest dungeon, Heart of Serpentcoil Island.

Go Go Dungeon
A compact five-story labyrinth presents a progressively tougher challenge as you advance through its levels. Defeating monsters sequentially in this dungeon will be noted in its written overview.
Wanderers’ Highway
A maze-like setting inhabited by Companions and Roamers, clearly distinguishable objects, and tight corridors that provide clear sightlines for navigation.
Quietude of Serpentcoil Island
A more difficult dungeon based on Heart of Serpentcoil Island.
Gear Rack
Show off the new weapons and protective equipment you’ve obtained on your Gear Showcase, located at the Item Storage in Shukuba Beach. Feel free to grab gear from this rack whenever it suits you.
