„Please, Don't Report Any More Issues - The Game Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect.” Asmodev Studio Ends Game Development Because They Don't Feel Like Working on It Anymore

As a seasoned gaming enthusiast with roots tracing back to the 80s and the magical ZX Spectrum, I found myself captivated by the audacious announcement of Priest Simulator: Vampire Show’s impending release. The developers at Asmodev have always been an intriguing bunch, and their latest communique didn’t disappoint.

On October 2022, we got wind that the full version of Priest Simulator: Vampire Show, a game created by Asmodev Studios from Poland, would officially launch. This wasn’t your typical announcement; it was quite unconventional thanks to the developer’s unique choice of language.

  1. The developers announced that the game will leave early access on December 5th this year.
  2. The devs have publicly admitted that they are ending Early Access because they no longer feel like working on it and would rather focus on new projects. Below we quote the announcement published on the game’s page on Steam:

I’m sorry to share this news, but we will be concluding our early access phase on December 5th. In truth, we have moved on to other projects for this game, and on that day, we’ll release an update to address several bugs that have been reported. From now on, please refrain from reporting additional issues as the game no longer requires perfection.

On the same day as the announcement, the team will launch the paid DLC titled “Priest Simulator: Her Ghost”. This expansion is expected to come at a small price.

It’s apparent that the message is quite unconventional, mirroring the unique character of Asmoved studio. Not long ago, the company declared its intention to exit the gaming sector and instead concentrate on establishing a chain of firearm retail stores. However, their departure from the industry won’t occur immediately; they’ve hinted at other games in development even as they set a release date for version 1.0 of PS:VS on Steam.

Priest Simulator: Vampire Show narrates the tale of a priest managing a rural parish where time seems to have frozen in the 1990s. He’s not an all-holy man, making it fitting that the game is presented as a comical first-person perspective action title, where you engage in battles against evil forces and rivalry.
