PlayStation’s second biggest hit on PC. Great ratings and crowds on Steam: this is how Stellar Blade’s release looks like

Yesterday marked the PC debut of Stellar Blade, a version based on last year’s popular PS5 game. Now, we can say that the PC launch has been a significant triumph.

  1. A few hours ago, Stellar Blade set a record for activity on Steam with a level of 99,980 players playing simultaneously. Later, the result finally surpassed the mark of 100,000 players simultaneously (108,000 and counting).
  2. Such a result makes the game the second biggest success among all titles released under the PlayStation Publishing label. The previous record holders were Ghost of Tsushima (77,154 players simultaneously) and the unbeaten Helldivers 2 (458,709 players).
  3. Stellar Blade is also receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews. On Steam, 96% of reviews are positive.
  4. Players are praising not only the game itself, but also the quality of the PC version, which is said to be exceptionally well optimized.

Stellar Blade – what’s new on PC

On the PC edition of Stellar Blade, you’ll find an array of visual upgrades such as the elimination of frame rate caps. Additionally, this version supports Nvidia DLSS 4, DLAA, and AMD FSR 3 technologies. For an even more immersive experience, PC gamers can take advantage of ultrawide screen support and the choice to activate high-resolution 4K textures.

As a thrilled gamer, I can’t help but compare this year’s PC version to last year’s PS5 edition. While both versions offer an immersive gaming experience, the PC version comes with a unique edge: an extra boss to conquer! Defeating this challenge rewards me with a brand-new costume. On top of that, the PC edition offers a whopping 25 additional costumes, 9 accessories, plus extra poses and music tracks, making it a must-have for any dedicated gamer like myself.

In simpler terms, the developers had pledged that any new content created specifically for the PC version would be included at no cost in the PlayStation 5 release. True to their word, the console version received update 1.011 last night, incorporating all additional elements from the PC edition.
