For years, PlayStation players have been collecting Trophies by completing tasks and finishing games. But until now, there hasn’t been a way to showcase those accomplishments outside of their online profiles. Today, Sony announced Franchise Rewards, a new program that lets players earn physical rewards by unlocking specific Trophies in their games.
I’m so excited this program is starting today with Ghost of Tsushima! They’re offering some really cool merch if you can snag certain trophies before the end of the year. If you’ve already gotten the gold “Mono no Aware” trophy, you can preorder a t-shirt for $30. And if you’ve managed to get the platinum “Living Legend” trophy – huge congrats! – you can preorder a pin for $25. I’m definitely going for that platinum!

A recent PlayStation Blog post shared more details about the exclusive merchandise, explaining that it was developed with close collaboration from Sucker Punch Productions to accurately reflect the game’s style and feeling. The post also announced that merchandise inspired by the ‘Ghost of Yotei’ update will be available later this year, with more information coming closer to its release.
So, PlayStation’s new Franchise Rewards thing with Ghost of Tsushima is cool, but it’s not totally new. I’ve seen this kind of stuff before in other games. Like, in Destiny 2, we could actually buy exclusive shirts and other gear after finishing a new raid. It was awesome to show off what we’d accomplished in-game with something real-world!
The Ghost Rewards program for Ghost of Tsushima is starting today. Plus, the highly anticipated sequel, Ghost of Yotei, will be available on October 2nd, and it’s a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
