Sony has unveiled the upcoming PlayStation State of Play broadcast. This event is scheduled for June 4 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET, with an estimated duration of around 40 minutes. The program will offer “news and updates” on several previously unspecified PS5 games.
The upcoming presentation can be streamed live on both PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube platforms. This is one of several presentations scheduled during a rapidly filling game conference season, which also features events like Summer Game Fest, Xbox Games Showcase, and the PC Gaming Show, to name a few.
Regarding the content that will be displayed during the presentation, it’s still a surprise. Sony currently has several games in development at their first-party studios, such as Marathon from Bungie and Saros from Housemarque. However, the upcoming major PS5 exclusive is Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, scheduled to release later this month.
Another studio that’s keeping quite active is Naughty Dog. At the moment, they are managing two ongoing projects – “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet” and a yet-to-be-named mystery game. While it’s not officially confirmed, there are rumors suggesting it might be “The Last of Us: Part 3”, but writer-director Neil Druckmann remains tight-lipped about its potential production.
